Largest history and genealogy collection in the state in an open-stack collection. Their online catalog can also access other libraries in the state. Most pre-1850 records for town, church, probate, and cemetery records for the state are available on microfilm. Many originals of these same materials are here. The unit is the access point for the State Archives, too. The historical records from all three branches of government are here. Of most interest here are the county court records. There is a general guide to the archive holdings online. Some collections have details holdings online, too.
