More English Adventures and Emigrants, 1625-1777 by Peter Wilson Coldham (Baltimore, Md.: GPC, 2002), hardcover, vii, 122 pp., indexed. $25.00. This is a supplement to the early works by this author English Adventurers and Emigrants, volume 1 covering 1609-1660 (1984) and volume 2 covering 1661-1733 (1985) and taking the resources of the High Court of Admiralty to 1777. The Examination Books in Instance cases records of the court were ordered destroyed after 1745. A survey of other records of the court resulted in this book. Those records in log books, contracts (crew lists, etc.), correspondence, evaluations of cargo and ships, travelers to American, criminal examinations, minutes, assignation books, etc. The index is divided into three sections: Person, places, and ships. The abstracts are in chronological order. They describe accounts of voyages, daily life, slave trade, and piracy.
